    President

My name is Brittney Baker. I began my professional journey in 2012 by enrolling in the St. Paul EMS Academy. Upon graduating, I served in the BLS transport unit of the Fire Department, where I proudly represented the St. Paul firefighters. Since 2013, I have been involved in instructing at the EMS Academy in various capacities. I completed Paramedic school in 2015 and graduated from the Fire Academy in 2018. I was promoted to driver in 2023, to Captain in 2024, and to Deputy Chief of EMS in 2025. Additionally, I serve as 1st Vice President of the North Central Region of the black firefighter association, the IABPFF. Currently, I teach EMT, Paramedic, Fire, and various levels of CPR classes for both the community and a local college. In 2018, I joined Firefighters United, motivated by my commitment to the International of Black Professional Firefighters' motto: 'All that I am, I owe. I live eternally in the red.' As a product of St. Paul's historic Rondo neighborhood, I am passionate about giving back to the community that has provided me with numerous opportunities, aligning with my role as a St. Paul firefighter.

    Vice President

I am Malik Davis, born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. I graduated from Saint Agnes High School and Clark Atlanta University, where I earned a degree in Business Administration and Business Management. With over 15 years of experience in property management, I transitioned into a successful career as a real estate agent and investor. Since 2019, I have proudly served as a St. Paul firefighter. I am also a dedicated father to a 13-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son, and I have been married to my wife for 16 years. I spent 21 years coaching high school basketball at St. Paul Central before retiring and now coach 10u boys' tackle football. Outside of work, I enjoy nature, relaxing on the beach, and spending quality time with my family. I joined the black firefighter association to continue the legacy of those who fought for my right not only to be in the job as a St. Paul firefighter but also to be treated with respect and held accountable. Giving back to the community means the world to me, so being able to assist with community events or recruitment efforts for St. Paul firefighters is a priority for me.

    Vice President

My name is Dorwen Bishop, and I immigrated to the United States in late 1998 from Georgetown, Guyana. I grew up in the Summit-University area of Saint Paul. I graduated from Saint Paul Central High School in 2012 and quickly enrolled in the Ems Academy to pursue my EMT certification. After completing the program in 2013, I decided to stay with the academy, working in their BLS division while attending paramedic school and training to become a firefighter in Saint Paul. I successfully graduated from both paramedic school and the fire academy in 2015.

In April 2025, I will celebrate my tenth anniversary with the department, with 8.5 years spent as a firefighter/paramedic, and the remainder as a Fire Equipment Operator/Paramedic. I joined the black firefighter association, known as Firefighters United, because I wanted to engage more deeply with the community, an area where I believed our department, including the St Paul firefighters, could improve. I take pride in the significant enhancements we've made in our partnerships with various organizations over the past six years, participating in food drives, toy drives, back-to-school initiatives, and more. Maintaining these relationships is vital for our mission as St-Paul firefighters.

I am Christyn Lewis, a proud Saint Paul firefighter and Firefighter Paramedic for the Saint Paul Fire Department. I also serve as the lead instructor for the department's EMS Academy, which is designed to provide local low-income students with the opportunity to obtain their EMT certification at no cost. My journey started when I attended the EMS Academy in 2012, paving the way for my role in basic life support transport ambulance services thereafter.

After completing my Paramedic School at UCLA, I returned and was hired as a firefighter in 2019. I became actively involved in the Black firefighter association, Fire Fighters United (FFU), in the same year due to its dedication to mentorship and equitable opportunities for Black firefighters while also fostering strong connections between St. Paul firefighters and the community.

Since 2023, I have been honored to serve as the FFU treasurer, where I manage the organization’s finances and support its vital mission of diversity, inclusion, and community outreach.

My name is Savonarei (Ree), and I serve as a Firefighter Paramedic as well as an instructor for the EMS Academy. Since 2020, I have been proud to be a member of Firefighters United, a strong black firefighter association that supports diversity in our field. I entered the firefighting profession through the Fire Department pathways program, which has played a significant role in my journey as a saint paul firefighter.

I chose to join Firefighters United (FFU) because its values resonate with my own, especially in promoting community engagement opportunities. My involvement with Firefighters United has not only broadened my horizons but also encouraged me to pursue various opportunities both as an individual and a st paul firefighter. I truly appreciate the network of support among st-paul firefighters that FFU fosters.
